This beautiful half moon bay is another stony beach but the stones here are quite flat, and there are some flat rocks further down perfect for lounging on. There is little to no natural shade here, so umbrellas or hats are advised. The beach is signposted well after leaving the main road down into Loggos.

A Lovely clear water channel at the south of the island for swimming, only accessible by boat – one of our favourite places. Swim between the Agnelli House and the Chapel. watch out for the current which is stronger at certain times of the day. this is the passage through the island to get to the west coast and Anti-Paxos.

FOOD, DRINK & GROCERY SHOPPING

Each town or village (Gaios, Loggos, Lakka and Magazia) has a small supermarket where you can find almost everything you’ll need. The supermarket in Gaios is the largest and best stocked, so it's best to head there to get supplies if you are in a villa. You can find all food and booze here so consider it a one stop shop. The paid car park is closest, but there is another slightly hidden free car park which you can find if you head to Eleni’s Coiffuere hairdresser via Google maps.

There’s also a fantastic butcher in Gaios just off the main square (the side street at the back left of the square if your back is to the water), there is a fishmonger located on the opposite street across the square, where you’ll also find the bakery.

Check out the olive oil shop on the waterfront in Gaios, and take some home as a memory of the island. Lovely sponges, olive wood products and soaps can also be found in many shops.

There are two great wine shops on the island – one in Gaios just off the main square (side street on the back right if your back is to the water), and the other in Lakka. These sell nicer wine and spirits then you will find in the supermarkets.

While in Lakka, visit Antigoni’s Health Food store on the corner opposite the cash machine for everything organic and Gluten Free – and some great fashion too (linen shirts, espadrilles, scarves, jewellery).

The island has two pharmacies, one in Gaios on the main square (this one selling Korres products and better quality toiletries than the supermarkets), and the other in Magazia.
